Every trainer at Bulldog has been in the ring. They know what it takes — and they'll take you there.
Stuart started martial arts at 4 years old following his father's footsteps in Shotokan Karate. His father originally owned karate schools in Scotland and Australia, giving Stuart his passion for the martial arts. He achieved first dan black belt at just 10 years of age, competing virtually undefeated as a junior until the age of 17 where he was introduced to Muay Thai kickboxing.
Stuart trained closely with Bulldog Gym founder Nick Stone since 1992, travelling around Australia stamping the Bulldog name in the ring wherever they went. His second home was Thailand's Fairtex training camp in Bangkok, where he forged his physical and mental conditioning.
Stuart was also undefeated as a boxer. His passion has always been Muay Thai — and now he passes that knowledge onto every member who walks through the door.
Steve followed in his brother's footsteps, starting martial arts at a young age under the guidance of his father — achieving black belt and moving to Muay Thai at just 15. He is still a professional fighter and the current WBC World Champion.
Where Stuart brings speed and technique, Steve is known for his aggression and raw power. Together they form the perfect pairing as head coaches. Steve has also extensively trained and lived in Thailand over the years — bringing that elite-level conditioning back to every session.
Bulldog trainers have coached World and National Champions including Shane Meads, Frank Zammit, Danny Abduhla and Mick Neilland. And they bring that same standard to every single member.
